Brett Relander is President of Green Star Builders, a commercial construction firm; creator of iGreen, a corporate sustainability program developed for small to mid-size businesses, and President of Green Star Homes, a residential home builder that designs and builds green LEED Certified homes for the middle class market (launching spring 2010).

Brett also works with small to mid-size businesses as a business development consultant and teaches proven strategies for increasing productivity, reducing costs, and increasing sales and market visibility.

• Designed and built the first ever green luxury suite in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys.


This innovative project produced opportunities for value creation within the sponsorship and event departments, increases the value of the Cowboys brand and allowed them to gain competitive advantage.

• Managed public relations campaigns that received coverage on over 400,000 websites.
• Developed a vast network of experienced professionals from a variety of industries nationwide.

This program included financial management services, credit counseling, green floor plans & specifications, and guaranteed heating/cooling bills. These homes are 75% more energy efficient than traditional homes of similar size.

• At the request of the EPA, DOE, NCTCOG, and SECO I am currently volunteering my green building & sustainability knowledge, innovative ideas, and industry leadership to improve weatherization, home improvement, and green affordable housing programs in DFW, Texas, and Nationwide.


Includes product evaluation, energy modeling, demographic studies, grant submissions, and consumer, builder, subcontractor, and supplier education.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING

As business development consultant I have effectively reduced operating costs by over 10% with a zero net job loss, championed internal material procurement, manufacturing, and distribution channels to meet long-term green values, and have developed, negotiated and closed a distribution and marketing agreement with international housewares giant IKEA.  Through constant networking, industry contacts, and strategic market development I’ve provided companies the ability to continue to grow sustainably, strategically and profitably for many years to come.
