When I say “Green Building” what do you think of? Is it a ultra modern high end custom home ~ complete with solar panels, reclaimed wood beams, rainwater collection, low flow plumbing fixtures, LED light fixtures, and a highly efficient heating/cooling system. Or maybe it’s a large sleek commercial building with wind turbines, walls of insulated glass, geothermal heating/cooling, and terrazzo floors made from recycled materials.
Although each of these is an example of green building, it’s only the tip of the iceberg.
